Old Town Tortilla Factory

Old Town Tortilla Factory is located in Old Town Scottsdale in a historic 75-year old Scottsdale adobe home. The restaurant is popular with visitors drawn to the restaurant’s Southwestern charm and ambiance–not to mention the 1400 square foot flagstone patio surrounded by green vegetation and the much-appreciated shade from a 100 year old pecan tree.

The menu focuses on Southwestern food with a Mexican twist. Menu favorites include Tex-Mex staples such as pork chile verde, slow roasted pork with cilantro, tomatillos, green chiles, onions and potatoes, or the southwestern filet mignon, a grilled filet served with garlic mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and a zesty chipotle mushroom demi glaze. Cowboy Ciao

This whimsical Scottsdale restaurant is a favorite with long-time residents for its unique take on traditional Southwestern cuisine. The “border baroque” decor marries Old World graciousness with Wild West kitsch, making for a fun and memorable dining experience.

The menu is Modern American with an emphasis on Southwestern flavors, but anything goes at Cowboy Ciao. Expect the unexpected, such as their classic Pig n’ Pudding, a pulled pork dish in a chipotle and balsamic barbecue sauce served with crumbly cotija cheese, toasted pumpkin seeds, polenta, and dried cranberries. Don’t skip dessert–the Pumpernickel Bread Pudding is a local favorite. Truly unique. (480-946-3111)

FnB

Sophisticated yet down-home, FnB is the latest darling of the Scottsdale culinary scene. The menu, which changes frequently, is based on seasonal ingredients sourced from local vendors and farms. The farm-fresh ingredients are carefully selected to create unexpected and delightful pairings.

On any given visit, you’ll find succulent combos such as leeks and grilled broccoli, brussels sprouts with meyer lemon, chile, and mint, or roasted beets with yoghurt, oil cured olives, cilantro and pine nuts. Expect the unexpected at FnB, where the artful plates are served with locally crafted beer and native Arizona wine. FnB’s new location also features a small wine shop and a bodega market. Don & Charlie’s

Lots of restaurants say they serve “American comfort food.” Don & Charlie’s lives it, every word. Few places in this country have a richer, museum-quality collection of sports memorabilia from the nation’s most popular pastimes, and here they’re blended with the spirit of America at its friendly best. Experienced servers, a buoyant atmosphere, and attention to detail ensure the enjoyment of what you came here for.

Flavorful, juicy steaks, tender prime rib, thick pork chops…superb baby back and barbecued beef ribs…salmon and shrimp favorites…with the accompaniments that everyone loves: mac and cheese, creamed spinach, onion strings, and lots, lots more. All served in a way that makes you feel right at home, whether you’re a newbie or an old friend who’s been coming back for over 25 years. (480) 990-0900
